No trip to Harrogate is complete without visiting the Valley Gardens and this great shot should give you an idea why. There are many pathways throughout the park, most of which are within view of spectacular flowerbeds such as these.
No other than Alan Titchmarsh declared the Valley Gardens of Harrogate to be his favourite public park in all of the UK. Such is the quality of the council ground keeping; the park was awarded the 2004 gold medal in the Europe in Bloom competition. If you are lucky enough to visit Harrogate between May and August, you will also be up to enjoy band concerts every Sunday afternoon.
