The Mercer Art Gallery is the primary such cultural landmark in Harrogate and home to a fine selection of exhibitions. It is also housed in the oldest public spa building in the city which originally opened in 1806.
The gallery is found in the north west of the city, right next door to both the Royal Pump Room Museum and main Harrogate Borough Council buildings. Also very close by is the Anstey Galleries, the Studley Hotel with its Orchard Restaurant, and the popular Mirabelle restaurant. If you think walking around the finely kept grounds of the gallery is a treat, wait until you get inside and see the real art.
