This shot has been taken from the edge of the main shopping area of Harrogate; on the opposite side of the Cenotaph from Bettys Tea Rooms. Walking past the Britannia Building Society on the right-hand side will take you down James Street, one of the primary shopping streets of the city and home to well-known stores such as Jessops, Waterstones and Next.
Walking north along Cambridge Road will take you towards many more shopping streets as well as numerous restaurants and hotels of the city centre. Many of the major shopping areas in Harrogate are pedestrianised; much better for those with kids in tow.
